The hazelnuts used in Caffarel chocolates are highly aromatic and come exclusively from the Piemont region.
In Turin, the production of gianduia (hazelnut nougat) has been a tradition for almost 200 years. In 1826, Pierre Caffarel was the first to add roasted and ground hazelnuts to cocoa, thereby helping to create the nougat. Since then, the Caffarel range has grown significantly, but the fine Gianduia remains the house specialty. |
